An Introduction to the Church of New Enchantment
## A Sanctuary for the Spiritually Curious The Church of New Enchantment was founded for the seeker who has never quite stopped asking questions.
The one who finds the contemplative path unspeakably beautiful and also reaches for a tarot deck on a hard morning.
The one who lights candles on the equinox and who still cannot quite let go of the rosary that belonged to a grandmother.
We do not ask anyone to choose between reverence and curiosity, between scripture and starlight, between the body's healing and the soul's awakening.
We believe these have always belonged together; the spiritual path of the modern West has too often pretended otherwise. ## Our Esoteric Universalist Path What defines the CNE is what we call **Esoteric Universalism**: the conviction that beneath the outward forms of the world's wisdom paths, Christian mysticism, Hermeticism, Kabbalah, Sacred Herbalism, the medicine of the stars, the prayers of indigenous elders, there lives a single, indivisible Truth.
We do not flatten these traditions into one another.
We honor each in its own voice and listen for the One Voice speaking through them all.
We are an independent sacramental community, not bound to Rome, Constantinople, or Canterbury, holding our sacred rites in the historic shape received from many lineages.
We ordain ministers carefully, tend our rites with reverence, and tend to be smaller, slower, and more contemplative than the institutional churches around us. ## What You Will Find Here A weekly stream of filmed sermons.
