Metaphysical Degrees: Compare Your Study Path
Choose a purpose before choosing a degree
CNE's College of Sacred Arts and Metaphysical Sciences is a church seminary of the Church of New Enchantment. This guide compares its religious education pathways; the seminary catalog lists the current concentrations and individual curricula.
Consider whether you want personal religious study, formation for service in your community, or a qualification accepted by an outside institution. These are different goals. If you need accredited academic study or professional licensure, a church-issued credential is not a substitute.
Compare ministry and religious studies families
At Associate level, compare Associate of Metaphysical Ministry Studies (A.M.M.S.) with Associate of Metaphysical Religious Studies (A.M.R.S.). At Bachelor level, compare Bachelor of Metaphysical Sacred Ministry (B.M.S.M.) with Bachelor of Metaphysical Religious Studies (B.M.R.S.).
At Master level, compare Master of Metaphysical Divinity (M.M.Div.) with Master of Metaphysical Religious Studies (M.M.R.S.). The doctoral names are Doctor of Metaphysical Divinity (D.M.Div.) and Doctor of Metaphysical Religious Studies (D.M.R.S.).
Ministry and divinity pathways emphasize religious service; religious studies pathways offer another way into sacred traditions and metaphysical inquiry. Compare the actual shared core and concentration courses, not just the credential name. Concentration availability and course counts belong to the live catalog.
Starting level, admissions, and study pace
Without a prior relevant degree, begin at Associate and progress through Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral study. Relevant prior metaphysical, theological, spiritual, or religious education may be submitted for advanced-standing review. Placement is not automatic.
Choose a program, create an account, submit its admission application, and receive CNE approval before beginning tuition. Advanced-standing applicants should supply the requested prior-school information and degree or transcript image. Review is not a promise of transfer credit.
Coursework is online and self-paced. There is no fixed completion duration promised here; time depends on your pace and the selected program's requirements.
Compare costs and credential limits before paying
Use the monthly tuition returned by the current seminary catalog and selected program page as the price source. Confirm the amount and billing terms at checkout after admission approval. A monthly rate is not a fixed total program cost.
Tuition payments are nonrefundable once course access is granted, except where required by law. You may cancel future subscription billing at any time. Master and doctoral program pages also state that Minister membership is required to keep the degree credential and directory listing active after graduation; review that separate obligation before enrolling.
CNE's degrees are church-issued ecclesiastical credentials, not regionally accredited academic degrees. They do not confer state licensure or guarantee transfer credit, employment, clinical practice eligibility, or recognition by another religious body. Ask the intended institution, employer, or licensing board what it accepts before paying.
Frequently asked questions
Are these accredited academic degrees?
No. CNE offers church-issued ecclesiastical credentials, not regionally accredited academic degrees. Ask any receiving school, employer, or religious body whether it accepts the credential for your intended purpose.
Which level should I choose?
Begin at Associate without a prior relevant degree. Applicants with relevant previous religious or spiritual education may request advanced-standing review; CNE must approve the application before tuition begins.
How long does a metaphysical degree take?
Study is self-paced, with no fixed completion time promised. Read the chosen program's actual courses and requirements and plan around your available study time.
What will the whole program cost?
The live program page supplies monthly tuition, not a guaranteed total cost. Total payments depend on the subscription period. Review billing, cancellation, the no-refund-after-access policy, and any post-graduation membership requirement before paying.
Does a degree qualify me for counseling or chaplaincy employment?
No employment or professional eligibility is guaranteed. Regulated counseling and institutional chaplaincy have requirements set by licensing bodies and employers. Verify those requirements directly before selecting a program.
